Summary writing is the making or writing of a biref statement of a given text or subject while leaving out the details. It is a skill we have been using since childhood either knowingly or unknowingly. For example, do you remember that time when you were a little child and your mother would send you to the shop to bu for her some supplies like; l kg of sugar, sachet of salt, a half littre of oil e.t.c? And you woud go singing( sugar,salt oil), leaving out the details of the quantities of eah item!
